In the last post i mentioned a possible concept, this concept has been thrown away and replaced by another in my opinion more interesting concept.
What I have my mind set on now is a game where you control a sort of futuristic digging machine, your objective is basicly to dig as deep as you can and collect and process minerals and other valuables on the way (think Motherload with a few twists and improvements).
I have started working on the graphics, this is usually where I start when making a game. I prefer to have at least a basic graphics foundation for the game before i start implementation. It is much more fun to program the game when you see good visual results right away, instead of sticking with placeholder art until the game mechanics are done.
For the first time I have set up a subversion repository for the game and it seems very valuable so far. It´s neat to have a backup availible to revert back to whenever I want or if a harddrive decides to die on me :).
